Hudson Valley Resort Receives Prestigious Award

Every year, 'Condé Nast Traveler' asks it's readers from around the country, and around the world, to rank what they think the world's best hotels, cruise lines, resorts, cities, airlines, and islands are. They've been doing this for 29 years and it's a big deal if you make the list.

According to Condé Nast Traveler, after over 300,000 readers cast their votes for 7,394 hotels, 606 cities, 500 cruise ships, and 236 islands, a list of the world's top vacation spots for this year was born and one of our very own Hudson Valley resorts made the list, and it isn't the first time.

Our congratulations go out to the Mohonk Mountain House for being recognized this year as the #10 Resort in New York State and The Mid-Atlantic. They've also been recognized in the past on Condé Nast Traveler’s Gold List, as well as being named the #1 Resort Spa in the U.S. in Condé Nast Traveler’s Readers’ Choice Awards. Plus, Travel + Leisure’s 2015 World’s Best Awards listed them as a Top 100 Hotel in the World, Best U.S. Resort and Best for Family Travel.

Founded in 1869, the Mohonk Mountain  House is a National Historic Landmark that offers it's visitors a wide variety of activities such as rock-climbing, boating, fishing, hiking, yoga, ice skating and much more. Plus, they have tennis courts, a golf course, and an entire wing devoted just for their spa that has sixteen treatment rooms, a solarium, an outdoor heated mineral pool, an indoor heated pool, comprehensive fitness center, and yoga/motion studio.

The Condé Nast Traveler Reader's Choice Awards are pretty prestigious, representing the best of the best, and we have an award winner right in our own backyard. All of the winners will be revealed in the November issue of 'Condé Nast Traveler' on news stands October 25.
