As skiers prepare for the upcoming snow season, one local ski center has announced they will not be operating this year.

The Times  Herald Record reports that Tuxedo Ridge will not open for the 2015/2016 season. According to a post on their official Facebook page, Tuxedo Ridge says that the closing is due to "Circumstances outside of (their) control."  The message goes on to say,

As you all know this has been a long journey, one which I am very proud to have been a part of...To my employees and customers, I cannot thank you enough for your support and loyalty over the past 8 seasons, you are truly a big part of what made me so passionate about this business, and truly the hardest part for me to let go. I am thankful for the friendships I have made, and hoping that although this season we will not be in operation...

The post does end in a hopeful note, saying that this is not the end of the Tuxedo Ridge and that work has already begun on a plan to try and reopen for the 2016/2017 season.

We want to know how this affects your winter plans. Do you ski at Tuxedo Ridge? If so, where do you plan on skiing now that they have closed down?
