An 18-year-old man was seriously injured when he was allegedly stabbed by a teenage female.

Tuesday around 1:30 a.m., members of the Kingston Police Department responded to Lincoln Street for reports of an argument between a male and a female. The agrument later escalated to a fight, police say.

Arrive officers were met by a vehicle that was driving an 18-year-old man to the Health Alliance of the Hudson Valley with an apparent stab wound to his stomach. The unnamed teenage victim was later transferred from the Ulster County hospital to Albany Medical Center. There he was treated for his stab wound and is currently listed in stable condition.

A police investigation determined that an 18-year-old female allegedly stabbed the 18-year-old male during a domestic dispute.

The 18-year-old female from West Hurley was charged with first-degree assault, a felony. Police are not releasing her name due to her age. She was remanded to Ulster County Jail on $10,000 bail.
