A 16-year old Hudson Valley teen has been arrested and charged with stabbing a man in the face. 

Monicello police were on patrol, when they noticed a group of males in the roadway involved in a dispute. As officers approached, they witness the 16 year-old stab a 24 year-old man in the face with a box cutter. The victim was transported to the hospital by ambulance and treated for a serious cut.

The 16 year-old, whose name is not being released because he may be eligible for youthful-offender status, was charged with Assault in the second degree (Felony), and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the fourth-degree, according to The Record

The teen was arraigned in the Village of Monticello court and sent to Sullivan County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail, and further court proceedings.
