Hudson Valley Teen Charged with Stealing Motorcycle

State Police arrested a Hudson Valley 15-year-old in connection with a reported stolen motorcycle.

New York State Police from Poughkeepsie arrested a 15-year-old Pleasant Valley resident for 4th-degree grand larceny, a class E felony.

Troopers patrolling the Drake Road area of Pleasant Valley heard motorcycles and responded to the area. The Trooper immediately noted that one of the teens was operating a blue Yamaha dirt bike that looked similar to the one reported stolen in February of 2016.

Police say an investigation revealed that the teen had unlawfully taken the dirt bike from a Millbrook home and rode it to his residence during the overnight hours.

The defendant was issued a family court appearance ticket directing him to appear before the Dutchess County Family Court at a later date and time.
