We asked you to let us know your three favorite Soundgarden, Audioslave or songs from his solo career and we were overwhelmed with responses.

Last Thursday, we received the sad news that Soundgarden front man, Chris Cornell passed suddenly. As more details unfolded yesterday, his death was ruled a suicide.

Chris Cornell had such an amazing voice and his music had such a unique sound that it resonated with so many people throughout three decades.

My personal favorite songs in no particular order are Nearly Forgot my Broken Heart from his 2015 solo album, Higher Truth along with Superunknown and Rusty Cage from Soundgarden. I need to give an honorable mention to the song "You Know My Name" from the introduction the latest Bond in 2006. In my opinion, he broke a barrier being the only metal singer to have a James Bond theme. Alice Cooper tried and actually recorded one in the 70's however, the song never made it to the actual film.

Everyone has their own favorites for different reasons. It was hard to make this list as the most common answer was "all of them".

Here's the top three songs that you submitted to WRRV.

3. Outshined - Soundgarden, Telephantasm (1991)

2. Like a Stone - Audioslave, Audioslave (2003)

1. Fell on Black Days - Soundgarden, Superunknown (1994)
