Actor Hugh Jackman is promoting a local high school's production of Les Miserables.

The talented stage and film actor took to YouTube to wish the students of North Rockland High School luck on their upcoming production. The school's Drama Society will be putting on a special school edition of Les Miserables starting this weekend.

In the video, Jackman congratulates the students in advance and offers a special good luck message. The actor who portrayed Jean Valjean in the film production of Les Miserables also offered the traditional Australian theater wish of "Chookas," which actors from Down Under say as good luck before a stage production.

North Rockland High School Drama Society's production of "Les Miserables" will take place on March 10, 11, 16, 17 and 18. For more information on tickets you can visit North Rockland High School's website.

Hugh Jackman won a Golden Globe and was nominated for an Academy Award for his portrayal of Jean Valjean in the 2012 film adaptation of Les Miserables.
