These HV Businesses Offer Vets Discounts and Free Items This Weekend

Offering our veterans a discount or even a free meal i the least we can do to say thank you this Veterans Day weekend. Here a just some of the deals going on for our men and women who served in the armed forces.

This weekend we honor the brave men and women who have served in our military. A free breakfast or meal discount may not seem like a lot in the grand scheme of things but it's a nice gesture to show our appreciation. Veterans and those who are serving in active duty are not in it for the praise but be sure to give it to them and thank a veteran this weekend.

Here is a list of places offering free items or discounts in the Hudson Valley according to New York Upstate. Keep in mind that some restrictions apply and most business ask to see a military ID.

• Denny's offers a free Grand Slam Friday from 5am - 12pm.
• Applebee's is offering a free meal off of a select menu on Veterans Day.
• Cracker Barrel is offering a free piece of cake on Saturday.
• This Saturday, Red Lobster is offering a free appetizer or dessert.
• Ruby Tuesday's will offer vets a free appetizer up to $10.
• Texas Road house will give vets a free meal on Saturday.
