Local Hudson Valley Festival Features Sausage & Peppers

Memorial Day Weekend brings plenty of opportunities to get outdoors to spend time with family and friends. Here is one of those opportunities. The 29th Annual Italian Festival sponsored by The Sons of Italy in Hopewell Junction will be taking place May 27-May 29, with lots of activities for kids of all ages.

It will be held at the East Fishkill Recreation Area at the junction of Routes 376 & 82 in Hopewell Junction. Parking and admission are free. Rides will be available for a small ticket price. The star of the show will be back and available all weekend? Do you think we mean the live entertainment, yes that will be going on throughout the three days of the festival. Do you think that we mean the fireworks? Well, yes there will be fireworks on the Sunday night to close the festival out. But what the most famous "thing" of this particular Italian festival is, is the Sons of Italy Sausage & Pepper Hero. Yes! They will be there for purchase along with hot dogs, zeppole and Italian Ice, just to name a few of the items that are going to be there to fill your bellies.
