Hyde Park Roller Magic Continues To Serve Hudson Valley

I remember in the late 80s and early 90s I was part of a summer recreation program in Orange County. Every other Monday we would all get on a school bus and be escorted almost an hour to Hyde Park to enjoy rollerskating or as I liked to call it, falling down over and over again. My bruises would always heal but the memories are still clear in my mind.

Wednesday, January 10th they kick off Adult Sk8 Night! Every Wednesday Adults 18 & over can enjoy skating or blading from 7pm-10pm. Admission is $8 and if you can't fit into your hello kitty roller blades anymore, no worries. Skate rentals are available for $2 and blades for $4 for those who prefer the inlines. Hyde Park Roller Magic is also home to The Hudson Valley Horrors Roller Derby Team. Their bouts are a fun spectacle the whole family can enjoy. If you really want to harness the power of athletic skating they have open tryouts and NO Skating skills are required, they will teach you!
