I started thinking about this question because I find myself running over the same series every once in awhile on Netflix. I'm FINALLY getting into the new shows on SyFy, which are AWESOME, but it's been a long time since I felt a real attachment to characters on a long running tv series.

So, the question is: If you could re-watch ONE tv series, as if you had never seen it before, which one would you choose?

What would be the criteria? Would length of series be entered into the equation? Would genre?

I almost don't know where to begin. Lost, for me, was a game changer in the way that TV affected me. That show freaked me out and turned me inside out so many times, I couldn't count them all. BUT, knowing the way the show got goofy weird in the middle and remembering how frustrated I was at the new characters, I'm not sure I'd want to go through it again.

The Office was complete genius. It was a super long series, so you could have time to relive it. The character growth was amazing, but I felt like the majority of the last 2 seasons were a lot of filler that just tried to keep me hanging around.

Any comedies? The Big Bang Theory? I don't think so. It feels like it's been forever since those types of shows did anything new?

Something that was formative to my sense of personality? Monty Python, perhaps? I think my enjoyment level might be different if I had discovered it as an adult. I'd want to keep it the way it is.

As you might be able to guess, I went with the reboot of Battlestar Galactica. Because SPACE! Actually, I thought it was one of the best series ever filmed for television. The conflict, the plot lines and twists, the character interaction, and the surprises it threw your way never left me feeling like anything was a throw away. I'd love to be able to watch that show again for the first time and experience the whole thing.

So, what's yours?
