So, I misread the situation. Life is one big learning experience

As I drove home last Friday, I became stuck in traffic only to find something that absolutely shocked me. There was a massive crowd of people behind police tape, cop cars, a man was screaming from a mega phone and then finally, I saw it. A body was lying on the ground covered in bloody sheets.

I was mortified. I've been to funerals before. I've seen a dead body before but this was just shocking. I admit my curiosity got the better of me. I pulled over and joined the large crowd. Sadly, I'll also admit that I was trying to get some pictures of the crowd and the officers. After all, I'm in the media. I felt like Jake Gyllenhaal in that movie 'Nightcrawler'.

A lot of thoughts entered my mind. Was this person murdered? Was this person hit by a car?

Then, the strangest thing happened. The body got up slowly and started to walk away. Then it hit me. I was in the middle of a 'Jesus Good Friday Walk'.

Again, I was mortified but this time from embarrassment.

I'll be the first to admit that I'm not too well versed with stories and passages from the bible. However, one thing that I hear a lot about is "forgiveness". That's convenient because I may have jump to some conclusions on my way home last Friday, Good Friday.

I just want to end by saying that I respect everybody's faith and their right to practice whatever religion they'd like. I'm not making jokes or poking fun of Christianity but rather pointing out my ignorance in this story.

I hope this can be used as a lesson to never prejudge a situation.
