On Sunday, September 4th Hooley on the Hudson will return to the Kingston Roundout for to celebrate it's 15th year. This full scale Irish Festival will have you dancing, singing and maybe even jigging the night away.

The event is very special this year as event organizers honor the 100th Anniversary of the Easter Rising in Ireland. Hooley on the Hudson is a very family friendly event which boasts plenty to drink, great food...including yummy Irish treats as well as my favorites...anything fried. There is also tons of shopping and amazing entertainment throughout the day. You know, like kick butt bagpipes, super talented step dancers, drummers, story tellers and one of my favorites, drunk people...they're fun to watch too.

The event is free and is open to Irish and those who wish to be Irish..for the day. So head down to the waterfront in Kingston this Sunday, the party get's started at 11:30am and runs until about 9pm. Insider tip...parking at the Roundout is very limited so park at the Kingston Plaza and take the complementary shuttles to/from the event. Just be sure to check when the last shuttle leaves! Unless you want to be stranded...I can think of worse places to be left!

Sláinte!
