Accents are crazy. The idea that people who speak the same language, who use the same words with the same meanings and intentions can so fundamentally differ in pronunciation of those things is fascinating.

Being able to adapt to different accents is a gift; it's how some people make millions of dollars a year doing impressions and voiceovers for commercials, cartoons, movies, etc. and the rest of us are out here doing terrible, stereotypical, exaggerated and borderline offensive interpretations of others' cultures.

But those are more fun, so let's go with that!
