Where does New York rank when it comes to the best states for jobs? 

Searching for a job is never easy. Searching through employment ads, updating resumes, preparing for interviews, contacting references. It's very tedious, and sometimes painful.

Wallethub analysts are trying to ease the process of finding employment for job seekers.

They compared the 50 states across 24 key indicators of  job-market strength, opportunity and economic vitality. The data set ranges from employment growth to median annual income to average commute time.

So where does New York rank on the list?

According to the report, New York is ranked 32nd compared to the rest of the country. Here's the breakdown:

  • 49th - Avg. Commute Time (in Minutes)
  • 32nd - Job Satisfaction
