This past weekend was Earth Day, a time where we recognize climate change and try to spread awareness about how we can prevent it. WalletHub.com recently posted a list detailing which states in the country are doing the best in terms of eco-friendliness, and which ones still need some work. So where did we rank on the list?

Well, good news: New York made the Top 5. Coming in at number four with a total score of 72.11, New York trails only Massachusetts, Oregon, and the number one green state, Vermont. We ranked number two in climate change contributions and number four in environmental quality, though only number 19 in eco-friendly behaviors. We're doing good, but there's still room for improvement.

And if you're wondering which state came in last, it's West Virginia. Which is weird, because Original Virginia is number 35. You're supposed to be the same as Virginia, but more westward, West Virginia! Get your act together!
