Have you seen the new "Star Wars The Force Awakens?" If you have, you might have noticed that one of the key characters in the new movie is female, Rey and SPOILER ALERT, Darth Vader is not really in the movie.

So why did Hasbro choose the following characters to be play pieces in the new "Star Wars" Monopoly board game? According to a statement that Hasbro sent Entertainment Weekly, they did not include Rey in the game because they thought it would be a spoiler and give fans information about the movie. The board game was released in September of 2015, the movie not in theaters until December 2015.

The player pieces that the game features are:

Luke Skywalker
Finn,
Kylo Ren
Darth Vader, (What scene was he in during The Force Awakens?)

Fast-forward to people seeing what a large role that Rey plays in the film and fans taking to social media with the hashtag #WheresRey, asking why the character did not get a playing piece in the game.

January 5, 2016 Hasbro announced via twitter that they would be adding the Rey character into all future shipments of the game. #ReyWins!
