It's been reported that Papa John's doesn't support wage increases or heath benefits for employees but now officials are saying their stealing from their employees. According to RH Reality Check New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman served Emstar Pizza Inc. which owns and operates several Papa John's franchises in New York city with a major lawsuit in December claiming the employer “underreported hours worked by employees over the past six years, rounded employee hours down to the nearest hour, and did not pay overtime.”

This week a New York judge ruled in favor of the employees and ordered Emstar to pay back $800,000 in regular wages and overtime. Although the locations are franchises Schneiderman is now taking aim at Papa John's owner John Schnatter as it is still a joint employer..meaning Papa John’s is responsible for the actions of its own franchisees.

Better ingredients...better pizza...Papa WRONGS!
