So there are jokes made all the time about lawyers who are not on the up and up, giving a bad name to those who are going out of their way to help their clients. 

Then they personal injury law firm that you hear about on TV commercials, is at the center of a lawsuit over alleged fraud.  A New Jersey attorney has filed a class action complaint in Newark with claims that "Jacoby & Meyers" billed clients for work that was never done. This particular lawsuit represents thousands of clients who claim that the firm billed clients for made-up work and expenses.  One plaintiff on Long Island claims she was billed three-thousand-dollars for a trial she never attended, while also being unaware of a 146-thousand-dollar settlement.
