Jack Black Spotted Filming Movie In Lower Hudson Valley

Hugh Jackman wasn't the only person working on a movie in the Hudson Valley last week. Lohud reports Jack Black was spotted in Yonkers Wednesday working on a new polka-themed film called The Polka King.

No, the movie isn't a tale about Hudson Valley polka legend Jimmy Sturr. But it does tell the story of another polka legend by the name of Jan Lewan who, according to the IMDB description, comes up with a scheme to get rich that shocks his fans and puts him in jail.

The movie stars Black alongside Jenny Slate, Jason Schwartzman and SNL's Vanessa Bayer. A majority of the movie was filmed in Rhode Island. With an expected release date next month, they've got to be almost done filming.

Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano posted a photo of himself with Black via Twitter.
