Jack White is trying to clear up what he was complaining about this week during a concert in Boston.  Jack White says his recent "rant" during a show in Boston -- or at least part of it -- was just a joke.  In a speech he called "Kanye-esque," White railed against RollingStone.com, pop singers, and the Foo Fighters.  He told the crowd at Fenway Park Wednesday night that "most performers don't use microphones anymore," and explained that unlike the Foo Fighters, he doesn't have multiple guitarists playing the same part so no one ever hears a mistake.  He also spoke extensively about the "clickbait" headlines on "Rolling Stone's" website, and used a mock infomercial voice to essentially call the publication a tabloid.

White's publicity firm -- which also represents the Foo Fighters -- has also issued a response clarifying that his comments about the band were said in jest as a way to keep the audience engaged during a minor equipment mishap.  They add that "Jack has the utmost respect for the Foo Fighters and communicated with [lead singer Dave Grohl]" the day after the concert.  The publicists didn't offer any comment on White's attack on "Rolling Stone," although the website did refute a few of his claims in a story about the rant.
