A major New York City area airport is getting millions in renovations.

John F. Kennedy Airport (JFK) will be getting a $350 million upgrade, according to NY1. Specifically, terminal 8 will be getting the millions in upgrades. American Airlines and British Airways are the airlines investing the money.

According to NY1, American Airlines and British Airways want to modernize the terminal. They will be adding new lounge areas, enhanced baggage checks, and upgraded concession options. It is not clear when the upgrades will be completed.

However, Governor Andrew Cuomo announced a $13 billion plan to upgrade and enhance JFK Airport as it gets older but busier, as reported by NY1. The project that Governor Cuomo announced is expected to be completed by 2025.
