June 29, 2016 is National Hug Day. Are you rolling your eyes at the amount of 'days' that have been created and since we are talking about it who created them? Can anyone just make a day? Is there a patent process?

National Hug Day was created by the Hugs for Health Foundation, which was started in 1994. When researching for this, I was not able to find a current valid website for HHF. But what I did find was that this 'day' was started with the belief that hugs, emotional support and friendships are a large and necessary part of a senior adults care taking. That might have been what was the original foundation of the day, but what it has become is something even more genuine, an 'excuse', if you will, to just give someone a good old fashioned heart felt hug.

Will you go out of your way to hug people on National Hug Day? Or do you think hugging people should not be limited to one day?
