With an Oscar nomination already under her belt, Karen O is ready to put her solo career on record.  The Yeah Yeah Yeahs singer has announced plans to release her first album under her own name.  Titled "Crush Songs," the new collection was recorded in 2006 and 2007.  It's described as "an intimate collection of lo-fi, bedroom recordings in the vein of Karen's Oscar-nominated 'The Moon Song'" from the Spike Jonze film "Her."  Karen performed the track live at the Academy Awards ceremony earlier this year alongside Vampire Weekend's Ezra Koenig.  "Crush Songs" is due out September 9th via Strokes frontman Julian Casablancas' label Cult Records.
