I talk about my kids a lot on air. It's because they're pretty funny, but crazy and dirty and smelly and maddening etc. But they're my kids and even though they make me crazy, they're awesome.

The one thing I can't really stand however is kids music. The car ride can be one of the most parts of your life. The kids are stuck in their seats, eventually all the scenery looks the same, and the only thing that can keep them marginally sane is music. Which is ironic because it seems like a lot of kids music is designed to drive parents insane.

If you guys haven't discovered "Storybots" on Netflix yet, let me tell you, it's a freaking lifesaver. Aside from actually explaining science questions in ways that kids can actually wrap their brains around, they music is kind of awesome. You might remember the 90's alternative band "Nerfherder". Parry Grip is the lead singer of that band, and he also happens to be the Music Director for "Storybots".

The music is funny, it's irreverent, and it'll sneak up on you because you won't expect to be singing along to it.
