A Kingston teenager was arrested after police say he damaged doors and threatened a person with a knife.

Kingston Police arrested Michael L. Belgrave, 19, of Kingston, for 3rd-degree criminal mischief, a felony, 2nd-degree menacing, and 2nd-degree criminal trespass, misdemeanors.

Police say officers responded to Spring Street in Kingston for a report that a person damaged two doors, including a glass pane in one of the doors. During the incident the suspect allegedly also threatened another person with a knife.

Witnesses to the incident identified Belgrave as the person responsible, officials say.

Belgrave was located a short distance away. Police believe the incident was due to money loaned by Belgrave to other parties.

Belgrave was remanded to Ulster County Jail on $5,000 bail.
