Kraft is issuing a voluntary recall of thousands of Kraft American Cheese products but it's not what you think! The food manufacture is recalling 36,0000 cases of American cheese slices sold in 3-lb. and 4-lb. boxes due to a possible chocking hazard.

According to a press release from the Kraft Heinz company there is a possibility that a thin strip of the plastic packaging film may remain stuck to the slice after even after the wrapper has been removed. If the film sticks to the cheese it can be a choking hazard. The company issued the recall after receiving complaints from consumers.

The recall applies only to 3-lb. and 4-lb. sizes of Kraft Singles American and White American pasteurized prepared cheese product, stamped with a "Best When Used By" date of 29 DEC 15 through 04 JAN 16, followed by the Manufacturing Code S54 or S55.
