You know you live in New York when an impromptu blizzard drops a few feet of snow on you, especially when it happens in March. While most Dutchess County residents have been taking to social media with their longing for spring, I take stock in know that it's STILL winter.

The past few years have shown most of our snowfall to happen in the month of February but one year St. Patrick's Day was interrupted with late snow fall such as this. This weather was beautiful to see, with street and moon light creating a glow effect I'll admit it took my breath away.

Fortunately I didn't have to go anywhere that night and the house was already stocked with food, I prefer not to hit the panic button when snow hits.

This video was shot Wednesday evening just before 7pm and I figured it would be a good idea to at least eliminate the foot of snow we already had. I know it means shoveling and snowplowing twice, but it does ease the burden on my machine and back.
