In a recent release of New York State grant money, several projects in Orange County received large grants to help revitalize the county. A total of $8.9 million is going to be making it's way into the Orange County community.

Legoland was the largest at $3 million, with those funds earmarked for construction and equipment for the park. While still not approved, it would seem that the plan for the amusement park is moving forward. The Town of Goshen Board has scheduled a combined meeting with the Planning Board to hear from the towns and neighboring residents. The meeting is today, the 19th at 7:30pm, at Goshen High School. If you'd like to voice your opinion, I'd suggest being there.

Other recipients of grants in Orange County were an incoming syrup factory to Warwick and the Tuxedo Hudson Company received $750,000 for their revitalization program along route 17 between Tuxedo and Sloatsburg.
