With his solo career about to begin, former Oasis and Beady Eye frontman Liam Gallagher is currently prepping his band. This morning, he offered an update on their progress in the typically pithy manner to which we have become accustomed from him.

Just popped into rehearsals and the lads are f---ing on it," he wrote on Twitter. "1 word DANGEROUS." Earlier this week he hyped to fans of his brother Noel that "Don't Look Back in Anger" and "Rocking Chair" will be "done proper" and that "I can and will sing any song he wrote bigger [and] better than him even if I was kicked in the bollox by a wood pigeon."

We still know precious little about Gallaher's album, outside of its title, As You Were, and that the first single will be "Not for Sale," which we'll presume has nothing to do with Bon Jovi's This House Is Not for Sale. And while he has yet to reveal its release date, the timing of the shows -- three festival dates in Serbia, Spain and Paris in July and Montreal in August -- suggest that it's arriving in the summer.

He announced the deal back in August 2016, saying that he had "10, 11 songs I’ve written that are eligible to be recorded. They’ve got flair, attitude, the melodies are sick and the words are f---ing funny. We’ll record them this year and release it next year. It’ll shock people. It’s a record written by me, that’s got all the right ingredients and sounds well tasty. You won’t be scratching your chin. It’s not Pink Floyd and it ain’t Radiohead. It’s chin-out music.”
