Lightning Strikes Delta Plane [VIDEO]

Maybe it's just because I recently went on vacation but this scares the crap out of me! Take a look as passenger Jack Perkins captures this incredible sight, lightning striking a Delta plane while on the runway at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. The strike happens about 18 seconds into the 36 second video.

According to the Huffington Post Delta spokesman Morgan Durrant confirmed that lightning struck Las Vegas-bound Delta Flight 67 last Tuesday, as the aircraft was in line waiting to take off. Durrant said there were no reports of injuries among the 111 customers and six crew. It should be noted that planes are designed to withstand lightning strikes...none the less...some scary stuff!
