Do you live in Orange County but need help paying for your winter fuel bills but do not qualify for H.E.A.P? Here is a way that you can get some assistance through the Orange County Fuel Fund.

Residents can apply for a grant to pay for some of their home heating costs plus the Orange County Fuel Fund has ways to help prepare homeowners for the next winter with suggestions on how to conserve energy for the next winter. Grants are available on a first come, first-served basis and this is not an emergency fund.

The deadline to apply for the grant money has been extended to Friday April 29, 2016.

To find out if you household is eligible log onto the OC Fuel Fund Website.  Orange County residents can also download the application form online, print it out and mail to: United Way of the Dutchess-Orange Region, 30 Scott’s Corners Drive., Suite 102, Montgomery, NY 12549, Attention: Orange County Fuel Fund, or fax the completed from to 845-457-4702.
