Local Colleges Rank As Some Of The Hardest To Get Into In The Nation

The Hudson Valley might be a gorgeous place to live, but some of the universities around here are the hardest to get into in the nation.

Maybe you were thinking of applying to several colleges in the Hudson Valley, hoping to get a hometown discount on the admissions or maybe commute to school from home. The Hudson Valley has a ton of great universities, but some of them are REALLY competitive.

US News and World Reports has it's list of the top 100 College in American that have the lowest acceptance rate. The Hudson Valley schools on the list are:

#14. United States Military Academy, West Point.
#72. Vasser College, Poughkeepsie.
#92. Bard Collge. Annandale on Hudson

Those three schools are obviously directly in the Hudson Valley, but there were plenty of other REALLY hard schools to get into in New York State. Hamilton, CUNY - Lehman, Barnard.
