Local Golf Tournament To Benefit Danny Quirk Football Scholarship Fund

In the summer of 2013, Millbrook resident Daniel Quirk was standing near a tree at Lake Taghkanic State Park that was struck by lightning. As a result, he was knocked to the ground and went into cardiac arrest. He tragically passed away just a few days later.

Family and friends have started an annual golf tournament in his honor. The 3rd annual golf outing will take place on Friday September 18th at Casperkill Golf Course. The proceeds will benefit the Danny Quirk Memorial Football Scholarship.

The $150 entry fee includes 18 holes of golf (w/cart), lunch, dinner, drinks on the course and a shirt to commemorate the event. Dinner takes place from 5-6 and there will be all kinds of raffles and prizes during and after.
