Would tax cuts for small Hudson Valley breweries help grow the local economy? One local politician thinks so and has a big announcement Tuesday at 10am in Newburgh.

Representative Sean Patrick Maloney, who represents Orange and Putnam Counties, as well as parts of Dutchess and Westchester, is expected to announce a new initiative that will will give tax breaks to small Hudson Valley Breweries. The Small Brewer Reinvestment and Expanding Workforce Act (Small Brew Act) and the Fair Beer Act, is thought to allow these breweries to grow and create jobs for the Hudson Valley and beyond.

The announcement will happen Tuesday morning at 10AM at Newburgh Brewing Company, the site of WRRV Sessions. Representitives from Newburgh Brewing Co, Captain Lawrence, Rushing Duck, Defiant, Sloop, Keegan and more will be on hand to lend support.
