Summer is winding down, kids are back in school, and, soon, the temps will start to drop, which can only mean one thing. It's almost leaf peeping weather. Getting ready for one of the most beautiful displays put on by Mother Nature,USA Today travel experts have nominated 20 roads throughout America that are their favorites for a fall foliage drive.

One of them just happens to be in our neck of the woods. The Upper Delaware Scenic Byway (NYS Route 97), travels the western borders of Orange, Sullivan and Delaware Counties, New York along a 70 mile stretch of the Delaware River. It provides a link between State Route 17 in Hancock to I-84 in Port Jervis. Portions of the road have already been recognized by national publications as a great ride for cyclists and bicycling enthusiasts alike.

While they have nominated 20 roads, only one can hold the title as the Best Scenic Autumn Drive. How will they decide, by the casting of votes of course. You can vote once a day from now until Monday, September 28 at noon simply by clicking here. Currently, the Upper Delaware Scenic Byway stands in the 4th position, but let's see if we can change that.
