Local Students Give Back to Veterans

Tis' the season to give back! That's the simple but wonderful idea behind what three local teenagers are doing for Vets right here in the Hudson Valley.

According to Hudson Valley News Network the idea started in 2013 when three students from F.D.R. High School in Hyde Park wanted to do something to give back to local veterans. Chris Gabryszewski, Jamie Herzfeld and Shannon Perotti who are now in their first year of college came up with an idea to raise funds for Veterans at Castle Point by planning and hosting a Penny Social. They tell HVNN that the idea is now a holiday tradition.

You can help support these wonderful teens efforts and vets right here in the Hudson Valley by joining them on Saturday December 19th at the Knights of Columbus on Route 9G in Hyde Park.
