Local Veterans Day Events

Tomorrow dozens of local municipalities will be holding events throughout the Hudson Valley in honor of Veterans Day. If you can please take time to venture out and honor our vets.

Veterans Day now a day to honor veterans of all wars actually began back in 1919 as Armistice Day, a day to commemorate the end of World War I. It wasn't until 1938 that Armistice Day became a legal holiday. Then in 1954, November 11th became a day to honor American veterans of all wars.To check out the full history of Veterans Day check out VA.gov.
