Heath foods retailer Mrs. Green's Neighborhood Market announced they will shutter nearly a half dozen stores to focus on their core locations. LoHud reports the two local stores affected in Tarrytown and Rye are expected to close by the end of the week. A New York City store and two in Connecticut will also shut their doors for good.

The chain, which is own by Natural Markets Food Group, recently experienced a supply disruption which lead to some empty shelves at their Westchester locations. They will be focusing on restocking the shelves at their Yorktown Heights, Briarcliff, Mount Kisco, Eastchester and Larchmont locations in the coming weeks. The parent group also recently closed stores in Illinois, New Jersey and and additional in Connectict.

As part of the reorganization, CEO Pat Brown will step down. His responsibilities will be handled by existing management. Customers complained that while the affected stores started off ok, service declined as time went on.
