Looking for a "fun" place to go on your next vacation? How about not even having to leave the state? Come'on, when you think "Fun" the first place that you think just has to be Jamestown, NY! Right?

Why Jamestown NY? It is Lucille Balls' hometown. According to comedycenter.org:

Lucille Ball – America’s beloved comedienne and a formidable business woman – envisioned her hometown of Jamestown, NY as a destination for a center showcasing the broadest range of comedy imaginable. Now leaders in the comedy industry and NYS Tourism are partnering with the nonprofit Lucy Desi Center for Comedy to place Jamestown on the worldwide stage, and see the National Comedy Center through to reality.

A short trip to Jamestown NY will eventually get you a chance to see Bob Hope, Rodney Dangerfield, Andy Kaufman, or even Lucille Ball on stage. Hologram style. Ground breaking will take place at the Hologram Comedy Club this August, with hopes of opening by August 2016.

Jamestown is already host to the annual Lucille Ball Comedy Festival, this year it will be held July 30 – August 2, and features comedians from across the country including headliner Jerry Seinfeld, August 1st. For additional information, visit www.lucycomedyfest.com.

The Lucy Ball-Desi Arnez Museum is also on the current grounds of the center, and is open now seven days a week. Go this year, to be able to see the big changes that where made when you visit next year.
