This is what you could call a wind-wind situation.

Mike Dorfman and Tom Padham, identified as "weather observers," went Monday to the observation deck of New Hampshire's Mount Washington where the wind was doing its best Chicago impression by blowing at 109 miles per hour. That's near tornado strength. Perhaps the only thing more remarkable than this video is the fact the camera didn't blow onto the ground.

And this is in the middle of May when snow and wind should be getting ready to pack up and hibernate for the upcoming summer.

Mount Washington's peak is nearly 6,300 feet, but the blistering wind is a far cry from the worst it has seen. Back in 1934, it blew at a mind-boggling 231 miles per hour.
