A 41-year-old Lockport man, who said he was a teenager, sent inappropriate sexual nature texts to a 14-year-old Dutchess County girl.

New York State Police From Wappinger say that in July of 2015, Troopers were contacted by the parents of a 14-year-old Wappingers Falls girl regarding inappropriate messages found on the their daughter's “KIK” cell phone application. Following a long investigation, Police allege that Jason M. Naylor represented himself as a teenager and sent texts to the underage victim that were in sexual nature. Authorities also say Naylor messaged the victim in an attempt to meet face-to-face.

Naylor was arrested at his residence in Lockport and transported to Dutchess County by State Police. He was charged with 1st-degree disseminating indecent material to minors, a class D felony, and endangering the welfare of a child, a class A misdemeanor.

Naylor was arraigned before the Village of Wappingers Falls Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail or $50,000 bond.
