The concept of artificial intelligence is one that is inevitably going to continue to evolve as we learn more and more about both technology and the human brain. Scientists are always trying to do cool things with AI; automate processes that would free up human beings' time and focus, improve the quality of life for humans, and possible have positive medical implications.

But first, let's teach machines how to play Super Mario Bros.
