An unlikely rescue after 66 days lost at sea off the coast of North Carolina brings a man home in time for Easter. ABC News reports Louis Jordan left on a fishing trip on January 23rd but never returned. His ship capsized as he slept, and most of his gear and supplies were lost.

He sufferd a broken collarbone in the incident and was forced to live off of 2-3 pancakes per day. Jordan began catching fish with his laundry when supplies ran low. His parents reported him missing on January 29th but the search was called off after 10 days.

Eventually spotted by a German cargo ship, the US Coast Guard was notifed and a rescue operation was underway soon thereafter. Jordan was treated at a local hospital for dehydration and released. Followed by a tearful family

reunion just in time for Easter.
