In what is undoubtedly an increasing phenomenon, an Illinois man's cell phone has betrayed him, costing him a job and earning him a visit from local police.

According to the Chicago Tribune, the individual texted a member of the Human Resources department at an Aurora, Illinois business--twice--with naked photographs of himself.

"There was a conditional offer of employment made to this particular applicant," Elmhurst Police Chief Michael Ruth said. "He texted the HR director and sent a nude photo of himself."

When the man followed up the next morning with a phone call, Ruth said, company officials saw the number on the caller ID and realized he was the nude selfie sender.

...

"My understanding is they've rescinded the offer of employment," Ruth said.

Apparently his new employers were none too impressed. When questioned by police, the man claims that the entire incident was an unfortunate mistake and that the photos were meant to go to a different recipient.

What happened to the good ol' days, when young men in Aurora, Illinois just had cable access shows, like this?
