You'd think with the holidays coming up people could be just a little nicer? Guess not.

A scary incident was caught on camera around 8 a.m. Tuesday morning on the southbound Exit 8 side of I-684. Traffic can get a little crazy on this stretch of road, as ABC NY is reporting that a fight broke out after a fuel truck cut reportedly off another motorist in a Sedan near North Salem.

A third motorist happened to have caught the ensuing confrontation on video. The video shows the driver of the Sedan even pull out and swing a machete in an attempt to intimidate the driver of the fuel truck. The machete can even be seen popping off and hitting another nearby vehicle during the confrontation.

Luckily, ABC says an off-duty law enforcement officer happened to be passing by and saw what was going on. ABC reports that the officer arrested the machete swinging suspect without further incident.

The man who ABC says lives in Danbury, CT, has been charged with felony criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of marijuana, harassment, menacing, reckless driving and endangering the welfare of a minor.
