Marist is calling it one of the most important days in the history of the Marist football program. This Sunday for the first time in NFL history two former Marist football alums will face-off on the gridiron as the Miami Dolphins take on the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Terrence Fede, in his second season with the Dolphins will face off against his former team mate and fellow alum Jason Myers, now in his first season with the Jaguars. Fede who is a defensive end with Miami played with the Red Foxes from 2009-13, Myers a place-kicker for Jacksonville played with Marist 2009-12.

“It is a historic day for Marist College and the football program, and gives us a major boost with recruiting and recognition for the college,” Marist head coach Jim Parady said. “There aren't many FCS programs that have multiple players playing in the NFL, and for the schedule to work out where they play each other is fantastic.”

Kickoff is set for Sunday at 4:05 p.m. The game will be televised on CBS and is also available on the DirecTV Sunday Ticket package. To read more about the two Marist alums check out GoRedFoxes.com.
