May is National Hamburger Month, Where to Celebrate in the Hudson Valley

So someone has decided that the hamburger needs the entire month of May for everyone to be able to celebrate it. Where in the Hudson Valley has burgers so good that they should be included in the celebrations? Here are a few:

One of the most famous burger in the Hudson Valley (as voted on by Buzzfeed Food) is the Schatzi Burger at Schatzi's Main Street in Poughkeepsie. Buzzfeed said that this is one of the hamburgers that will ruin other burgers for you. The Schatzi Burger has a special mixture of chuck and short rib meat, then it has pork belly on it, melted cheddar, a potato pancake, and Schatzi's special sauce on a pretzel roll.

Five Guys Burgers, locations include Poughkeepsie, Fishkill, Kingston, Newburgh and Middletown. Here burgers are made to order with a choice of 15 toppings in addition to the option of cheese. These guys are highly rated in the Hudson Valley and the nation.

Mill House Brewing in Poughkeepsie. Voted Best Burger by the readers of Hudson Valley Magazine 2015. Their version of the burger contains, two 4oz all beef patties, lettuce, tomato, Vidalia onions, pickles, American cheese on a sesame bun. They also serve their burger with shoestring fries, according to their menu.

Poppy's Burger in Beacon. These guys are included on our list after a quick poll of where can you go to get a great burger that no one really knows about. Their meat is locally sourced and grass feed, plus they have vegetarian options too.
