McDonald's is bringing back the Szechuan Sauce. Let's back up for a minute and explain why this is a big deal.

In the late '90s, McDonald's came out with a limited-run Szechuan Sauce that tied in with the Disney movie Mulan.

Last year, the immensely popular animated series Rick and Morty made a recurring joke about the sauce, and fans took it and ran with it, campaigning to get McDonald's to bring back the sauce.

In October, McDonald's actually did bring back the sauce - for one day, in a very limited capacity, in select stores. Things got insane, pretty quickly. There were riots, there were meltdowns, and some of that sauce went up on eBay for (and I'm not joking here) a thousand dollars. For a packet of sauce. From McDonald's.

So yeah, there's a lot of demand for this sauce, thanks to Rick and Morty, and McDonald's has heard you. Starting Monday, 20 million packets of Szechuan sauce will be available across the US in every McDonald's store while supplies last. That means the Hudson Valley Rick and Morty fans who missed out last time when only twenty sauce packets were available at a store in Poughkeepsie will finally get their chance.

It sounds like this is another limited-time thing, though, so don't sleep on it if you're trying to get the sauce. After all, that's the one-armed man, it's the series arc, Morty! I'm not driven by avenging my family, I want that McNugget dipping sauce! If it takes nine more seasons, it's gonna take us all the way to the end, Morty!
