He was a part of three Yankees World Series Champion teams and later became a Met--and now you can meet him.

With the changing landscape of American-Cuban relations, the Cuban National Baseball Team will be coming to the United States and among their stops will be in Rockland County, to take on the Rockland Boulders.

The Cuban National Team will play the Boulders at Palisades Credit Union Park in Pomona on June 24, 25 and 26. Before the Friday, June 24 night game, you'll get to watch Orlando "El Duque" Hernandez himself throw out the first pitch and even go to a meet-and-greet.

The Rockland Boulders are offering an “El Duque Premium Pack” for $99 which includes one ticket for the Friday game and admission to a private meet and greet with El Duque. Fans purchasing the specialty pack will watch the game on the Sunset Deck, where food, beer and cigars will be available.

“I am very excited to be a part of this historic weekend of baseball,” Hernandez said in a press release. “An opportunity to showcase the talent of Cuban baseball players to the fans in the Lower Hudson Valley and Northern New Jersey, as well as a chance to return to a region where I was fortunate enough to win three World Series titles is something I’m looking forward to very much.”

The Cuban National Team's stop in Pomona is part of a 19-game, six-city trip through the Can-Am League. The game will count in the Can-Am League standings.
